The change in the taxi legislation caused a lot of changes in passenger transport field. One of them was the reorganization of the taxi services at Helsinki Airport. As of July 1, 2018, taxis can be found in front of the terminals in four different lines. Helsinki Airport Taxi is in line number 2.
“We have had long experience in airport transportation, because we have done airport staff transfers. Airport-based companies whose staff are engaged in shift work have been relying on carpool transfers to Helsinki Airport Taxi for many years. Many professionals from flight crew to caretakers have sat on our car at home or on their way”, says Esa Niinivaara, Managing Director at Helsinki Airport Taxi. “It is therefore perfectly natural that, with the changing taxi business, that we also transport safely passengers arriving at the airport”, continues Niinivaara.
New services – new look
As the services evolve with great leaps and bounds, usually the brand renews itself at the same time. This was also the case with Helsinki Airport Taxi – the entire brand was updated from the logo to the websites and to the social media presence. “All of our cars were taped in line with the new look, so they are easy to spot from the lines in the airport,” says Niinivaara. The pain of creating and renewing all visual elements are not easy processes, and this was also the case with Helsinki Airport Taxi. “Legislation change has been up in the air for a long time, but the practical issues began to become clearer only recently. So the schedule was therefore very tight for this big process, but we are happy with the results and the brand work will continue after the summer”, Niinivaara rejoices.
